As you finish up your turkey leftovers, it’s time to start thinking about the holiday season and the many events Tybee Island has to offer. Kick off the most wonderful time of the year at River’s End Campground and RV Park, where you can finally have the vacation you’ve needed all year.
Lights on for Tybee will take place on December 5, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Tybee. The annual tradition will be a ceremony of lighting the downtown Christmas tree. Partake in the festive Island spirit as the Mayor lights the tree that signals the beginning of Christmas season. Choirs will fill the Roundabout with Christmas carols and the Glor na Daire Academy of Irish Dance will put on a performance you won’t want to miss.
Children can catch snowflakes falling from the Sea and Breeze throughout the evening, and two surprise visitors will be flying in to visit them. Don’t miss this spectacular celebration!
